But, it was for a brief time as Infinity Ward removed the Building 21 and locked the area just after 24 hours of its release, which was a bummer for many players who did not get the chance to explore this new location in the brief time of 24 hours. However, as we reported previously, it might come back on or after 27th December 2022. But what if I tell you it was never removed from the game? As Activision advised that the location of Building 21 is hidden, and you have to locate it yourself to explore the new area. A user might have stumbled upon the exact location of Building 21 in the game, and let me tell you, it is in the most surprising spot (spoiler alert: it is a reference to Warzone 1). As pointed out by a Twitter user @ModenasHD and corroborated by Insider Gaming, Building 21 might be located on the top of the crater of Verdansk.
Could be nothing, i just wonder 🤔🤔 pic.twitter.com/7ncRJrIXKt — 𝗡𝗛’ -Hotel Six- 🧼🥇 (@ModenasHD) December 21, 2022 As the above attached images portrays, the mini-map of Building 21 looks exactly like Verdansk, and as elaborated further by the user, the exact pin location of Building 21 matches the location of Verdansk crater. Insider gaming has concluded the following theories from this situation:
Building 21 is absolutely enormous, compared to the overlay.Building 21 sits in Verdansk, right where Downtown was – either that, or it’s underneath the crater that was formed when the nuke decimated Verdansk over a year ago.
The above points are believable, and it should not come as a surprise if Infinity Ward in future chooses to explain the location and formation of Building 21. And if we put all the puzzle pieces together, it makes sense to some extent. As we already know that the boss of Building 21 is a shadow operator who might have formed this new location after Verdansk got nuked. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how Infinity Ward will proceed to explain the origins of Building 21, if they are planning to. And if any bit of the above speculation is true, it will definitely be exciting to experience this storyline in future that will explain the post-nuke situation of Verdansk and if it is actually completely destroyed from the Warzone timeline.
About DMZ
DMZ is a dangerous, diverse and deep open world experience where players can choose their level of intensity. Even in its earliest form, the DMZ experience is built for the most hardcore completionists: with Faction Missions, Contracts, World Events, stocking up the Stash, helping out other squads (or causing chaos), breaking open locked areas, and much more– this living world has plenty to conquer on day one. DMZ is just about land, loot, survival and exfil. Yet it is not that simple on the deadly map, Al Mazrah; enemies could be anywhere, and you always have to watch your back, protect your loot and extract. However, after some initial response to DMZ mode, Infinity Ward decided to release DMZ as a beta for the launch, which indicates that it is just the beginning and Call of Duty fans are well in for a treat in the future. As stated by Activision: Also, there are a lot of rumors about post-launch content for Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Some of the rumors suggest a premium DLC pack. On top of that, Sledgehammer Games is also reportedly working on Premium Call of Duty content for 2023. We hope that more details about these updates will be revealed soon. And it is safe to say that the players should buckle up their belts and be prepared as this will be long. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. So, what are your thoughts about this new theory about Building 21? Does this story sound exciting to you, and will you be playing something like this if Infinity Ward or Activision plans to add it to the game? Let us know in the comment section below.
