As part of these plans, Respawn and Infinity Ward co-founder Vince Zampella assumed a new position as the director of the whole Battlefield series. At the same time, Oscar Gabrielson, the former general manager of DICE, officially departed EA. The launch of Ridgeline Games is noteworthy since the most recent instalment, Battlefield 2042, lacked a single-player campaign. We hope it will make a comeback as a mainstay in future games. Battlefield 2042 has generally had problems since its release last year. In addition to being criticised for lacking a storyline, the game’s multiplayer aspects no longer get maintenance. It is anticipated that the Battlefield series would come around from its downfall under Ridgeline Games. The lack of multiplayer content and other factors affecting the player base may make the partnership seem like a solution.
