While Android processors will eventually get there, it appears that they will continue to stay a generation behind as the A16 Bionic is now the only smartphone chipset in existence to do so. As you are aware, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to debut in the first week of February 2019, giving Samsung and Qualcomm more than enough time to perform the required modifications and optimizations to enable the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to perform better.
