The South Korean tech giant is soon expected to launch the successor to the M53, the Galaxy M54. A Vietnamese YouTube channel, which goes by the name “The Pixel” has revealed full specifications of Galaxy M54. The same channel has previously leaked specification of various Samsung, OPPO, Xiaomi phones, and they have turned out to be accurate.
Samsung Galaxy M54 specifications
As per The Pixel, the Galaxy M54 will be equipped with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel will have a single centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This is Qualcomm’s flagship SoC from 2020 before they moved to the Gen naming scheme. Samsung’s decision to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Series flagship processor comes as a big surprise, because the previous Galaxy M Series phone have sticked to midrange CPUs from Qualcomm and MediaTek. For instance, the Snapdragon 730 used in M51, Snapdragon 778G used in M52 or the Dimensity 900 used in M53. At the back, the phone will use a triple camera setup. A 64MP primary lens, an 8MP Wide-Angle lens and a 5MP lens for capturing Macro images. For selfies, it gets a single 32MP lens housed inside the punch-hole cutout. We have seen a similar camera setup on the Galaxy M52 and Galaxy M51. It is very likely that Samsung may reuse the same lenses on the Galaxy M54. The handset will be backed by a massive 6000mAh battery, but will support rather slow 25W wired charging. The device will launch with an 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM storage configuration. The YouTuber speculates that it may also get a 256GB option. The Galaxy M54 will be priced around 10,000,000 VND (10 Million VND) in Vietnam. This roughly translates to around INR 34,000 or EUR 410-420 with today’s foreign exchange rates. Lastly, the source says that the phone will launch in Vietnam in late 2022 or early 2023.
