You can watch the new trailer above, which takes place five years after the events of the first game and features a bearded Cal Kestis slashing his way through stormtroopers with a lightsaber. In the new trailer, he shows off some impressive new moves while we also get our first look at some brand-new characters and some returning favorites. The trailer brings back Cal and gives us a glimpse at what he’s been up to in the five years since the events of Fallen Order’s ending. Cal’s decision at the end of the last game not to try to reform the Jedi Order was the right one, as the lone Jedi is being hunted by both the Empire as well as other Force users who want to put an end to the Jedi for good. However, he does have some help, as we see in the trailer where he meets up with former Jedi, Cere Junda and where we are also introduced to some new characters. Cal, supported by his friends, decided to go on a mission to recover a Holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children and keep it out of Imperial hands. While he was successful in this endeavor, the renegade group is still on the run from the Empire in the upcoming game. Cal became a fan favorite almost immediately after the game’s release. Additionally, the game was a commercial success, selling over 10 million copies in its first year of release. The announcement of this sequel was made for the first time in January 2022, and the first teaser trailer for the game was released a few months later in May. This trailer is the second one that has been released so far for this game. Respawn Entertainment isn’t just working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor; they have other games in the series in the works as well. It is hard at work on not one, not two, but three Star Wars games, including the upcoming sequel. While information on the other two games is limited, we do know that one of them is a first-person shooter and the other is a strategy game. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 17, 2023.
